Turkmenistan, EBRD discuss strengthening of multifaceted collaboration

AKIPRESS.COM - A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development led by Neil McKain, EBRD Regional Director for Central Asia on Sept 18, Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry reports.
During the negotiations, the parties noted with satisfaction the long-term nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, reviewed implemented and ongoing projects, as well as the EBRD's strategy for Turkmenistan for the period 2019-2024.
The parties also exchanged views on the socio-economic situation in the region. Turkmenistan's efforts to strengthen stability and economic development were noted, a clear example of which was the holding of the First Caspian Economic Forum in August this year, in which the EBRD Vice President took part. Noting the high level of trust inherent in Turkmenistan's cooperation with the EBRD, the meeting participants expressed hope for continued mutually beneficial cooperation.
