Tashkent, Sept.19, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s delegation, headed by Deputy Parliament Speaker Aida Kasymaliyeva, is taking part in the Central Asian Youth Congress on the topic: "Digitalization, Economy, Security and Sustainable Development: Prospects for Central Asia and the European Union," held in Tashkent, the press service of the Yuksalish (Eminence) All-national Movement in Uzbekistan reported.
The main objectives of the Congress are to promote key theses of speeches of President of Uzbekistan, in particular, at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, to work out and promote initiatives for the development of public diplomacy of youth organizations in Central Asia.
The program of the event includes thematic sections, panel discussions, training project sessions, master classes and discussions with the participation of representatives of state bodies, leading foreign experts, NGOs and public organizations.
The Congress participants noted Central Asia faces a variety of challenges. The demography of the young region has great potential for the future of the Great Silk Road countries.
Regional cooperation among Central Asian states plays a crucial role in this regard. Germany and Europe have priority interests in the prosperity and stability of Central Asian states. Foreign and national experts shared their experience in the areas under discussion with the participants.
In particular, head of the Kyrgyz delegation Aida Kasymaliyeva noted the Congress brought together young people from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, provided them with an opportunity to closely familiarize with such issues of the future as digitalization, security, economic growth and sustainable development, to develop recommendations for further action in these areas.
Young leaders and experts from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Germany and Uzbekistan are participating in the event.
