Talas host cultural programme as part of First National Nomad Games

Bishkek, Sept.19, 2019. /Kabar/. A cultural programme within the framework of the National Nomad Game has started in the Manas Ordo complex in Talas Oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan said.
The cultural part of the Games was opened by representatives of Batken Oblast, who presented a theatrical performance. They also presented performances of folk songs, dances, clothes, as well as traditions of the Kyrgyz people.
Each oblast will present its own cultural program and theatrical performance. Next, the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Naryn and Osh Oblasts will present their cultural program.
All seven oblasts of the republic have set up their own yurts, each of which has its own decorations.
As part of the cultural programme, guests can also attend other events, including national traditional songs and dances, medieval battle scenes and horseback riding tricks, plays about national traditions and customs, games from the life of nomads, a folk art and craft fair, demonstrations and tastings of national dishes, and a showcase of nomadic clothing; acquaintance with the fine arts (painting, graphics, sculpture) reflecting the identity of nomadic peoples.
Note that the solemn part of the event, attended by about two thousand participants, will be held on Sept. 21, 2019.
The main purpose of the National Nomad Games is to preserve the historical cultural heritage.
