Bishkek, Sept.20, 2019. /Kabar/. As part of participation in the informal meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Budapest, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs met with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
At the meeting, the foreign ministers discussed the preparations for the return official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Hungary.
They also reviewed the implementation of agreements following the official visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Kyrgyzstan in 2018 and the official visit of Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Chyngyz Aidarbekov to Hungary in May 2019.
During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the implementation of existing opportunities to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
In this regard, the sides expressed confidence that the holding of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Hungarian Commission on Economic Cooperation in Bishkek on Sept. 23-24, 2019 will give additional impetus and create conditions for expansion and deepening of trade and investment cooperation between the business community of the two countries.
