Turkic Council Office opened in Budapest to become European branch of CCTS

Bishkek, Sept.20, 2019. /Kabar/. The informal meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries( CCTS), chaired by Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov, took place in Budapest. The meeting was attended by Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides noted with satisfaction the decision of Uzbekistan to become a full member of the Turkic Council and active participation of all member countries on further development of the Organization under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main event of the informal meeting of the CCTS was the opening ceremony of the Turkic Council Office in Budapest, which will become a European branch of the CCTS.
It was noted that Hungary, having received the status of an observer in the Council at the last Summit of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata, is already actively integrating into the Turkic world by opening a European branch of the CCTS in its capital.
In the course of the informal meeting, the sides discussed issues, related to the upcoming CCTS Summit to be held on Oct. 15, 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan, as well as a number of agreements on cooperation within international organizations, which is especially important in the run-up to the opening of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly was reached.
