Bishkek, Sept.20, 2019. /Kabar/. 11.2 thousand people applied to the Ombudsman in 2018, Kyrgyzstan’s Ombudsman Tokon Mamytov told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to his data, the Ombudsman received 3 thousand 237 written appeals, of which 2 thousand 92 were addressed to the central apparatus and 1 thousand 145 to state administrations. Of these, 142 are collective appeals, signed by 2 thousand 50 people.
"Oral consultations were given to 6 thousand 115 people. The total number of people who applied to the Ombudsman in 2018 was 11 thousand 260, 47.4% of whom were women. Qualified recommendations and explanations were provided for each of appeal. In total, in 2018, the rights of applicants were restored in 13.2% of cases," he said.
Mamytov noted the largest number of requests came from Bishkek - 31%, Chui - 17.8%, Issyk-Kul - 12.8%, Osh - 11.1%, Jalal-Abad - 6.6%, Naryn - 5.9%. 4.1 % came from places of deprivation of liberty, this figure more than from Batken (3.5 %) and Talas (2.7 per cent) Oblasts.
