‘I disagree that security officers cannot work as ombudsman’ - Tokon Mamytov

AKIPRESS.COM - I disagree with the opinion that the secret service agent can not work as Ombudsman, said the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan Tokon Mamytov at the press conference in Bishkek on Sept 20. "They ask how a former security officer can work as ombudsman? The former security officials, law enforcement officials and prosecutors in many countries also work as ombudsman. I do not agree with the opinion that secret service agent can not occupy this post. I am proud that I worked in Committee for State Security," said Mamytov.
Tokon Mamytov worked in National Security structures in 1992-2005.
