Bishkek, Sept. 20, 2019. / Kabar /. Dinara Kemelova, Kyrgyz Ambassador to South Korea, visited K-Water Corporation in Daejeon, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Kemelova also met with President of the corporation Lee Hak-Suu.
During the conversation, Dinara Kemelova expressed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in cooperation in the field of hydropower, water supply, irrigation and the use of new technologies in water resources management.
The interlocutors discussed the possibility of the Korean side participating in the implementation of the Taza-Suu project in Kyrgyzstan.
President Lee Hak-Suu said that the corporation has extensive experience in the construction of dams, irrigation systems using the latest information and communication technologies, in the management of water resources and other areas of hydropower.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Korean K-Water Corporation, which will allow the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of water resources management.
Also during the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation got acquainted with the activities of K-Water and studied the experience of managing water resources using the latest technologies.
