Kanat Isayev secures his position of Kyrgyzstan party leader

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Kanat Isayev was reelected as the leader of the Kyrgyzstan party on Sept 22 during the VI congress of the party.
Two other candidates withdrew themselves from the race, and Kanat Isayev was unanimously elected as the faction leader.
1,095 delegates participated in the congress.
Isayev, in his speech, said all the branches of power must support the incumbent president for the sake of the stability and development of the nation.
On 2 October 2017, the National Security Committee brought charges against Isayev on mass disorders, violent power seizure.
In July 2018, he was placed in home arrest.
