Bishkek, Sept.24, 2019. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov spoke at the IV Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Parliaments in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan), the press service of the Parliament reported.
Note that, delegations from 65 countries are taking part in the IV Meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments. 41 countries are represented by speakers of parliaments.
The I and II Meetings were held in 2016 in Moscow (Russia) and in 2017 in Seoul (South Korea), the III meeting was held in Antalya (Turkey). The initiative to hold such annual meetings of the Speakers of Eurasia belongs to the Russian Federation and South Korea.
The agenda of the Meeting includes the issues of economic cooperation, sustainable development in Eurasia, joint confrontation with global challenges and threats. The participants of the Meeting called the format of the meeting unique, as it allows to gather heads of parliaments from all over the Eurasian continent on one platform.
Dzhumabekov in his speech said the large number of participants of the Meeting testifies to the need for inter-parliamentary dialogue and demonstrates the interest of the international community in the idea of the Eurasian Idea.
"The need to deepen and expand integration relations beyond traditional regionalism is becoming increasingly evident. Ultimately, the development of the state involves expanding the borders of political constructivism and mutually beneficial economic cooperation," the Kyrgyz speaker said.
"Liberalization of trade relations, development of transport and transit infrastructure, expansion of innovative and industrial cooperation can lay the foundation for overcoming the difference in the level of development between the countries, access to transcontinental and maritime routes, and as a result - the production of more than half of the world's GDP. In turn, this would contribute to solving many regional problems and enhancing the role of Eurasia in addressing global threats and challenges," Dastanbek Dzhumabekov added.
He also stressed that the idea of building a Greater Eurasia is quite feasible.
At the end of the regular Meeting, the participants will adopt the final document.
Note that, the Kyrgyz Parliamentary Delegation includes following deputies: Makhabat Mavlyanova, Urmat Samayev, Almaz Zhutanov, Nodirbek Karimov.
