Bishkek, Sept.25, 2019. /Kabar/. Tuesday, on Sept. 24 the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the Citizen Initiative of Internet Policy Public Foundation held seventh KIT 2019 Kyrgyz Information Technologies Forum. The Forum was held in the implementation of the Digital Kyrgyzstan 2019-2023 Concept of digital transformation of the country.
The KIT Forum is the largest ICT event in Kyrgyzstan. The KIT 2019 is about 10 sections in different areas of IT, including discussions, master classes, round tables on topics: cyber security and personal data protection; open data and digital public services; digital marketing; EEC digital platforms; e-commerce; game development; IT education, fiscal procedures and startup exhibition.
The Forum took place at the Manas Kyrgyz-Turkish University, and it differed from the previous ones in that it iwas held in the Year of Digitalization of the country.
This time the Forum was attended by over 4 thousand participants, including foreign speakers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Finland and the United States. In addition, the event was attended by First Deputy Chief of the Office of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Kenenbayev.
Speaking at the Forum with a welcoming speech, Almaz Kenenbayev congratulated the Forum participants on the start of work and wished everyone success.
Continuing his speech, the deputy chief stressed that in order to develop digitalization technologies, all state bodies are providing all possible support for the removal of barriers to the development of the IT-industry.
Tattuu Mambetaliyeva, Citizen Initiative of Internet Policy Public Foundation Director said the Forum brought together all areas of digital technology in Kyrgyzstan. According to her, digital technologies have been successfully introduced into the system of registration and documentation of the population, into the system of public finance management.
"The Tunduk unique project has been launched, to which 83 state and commercial organizations were connected, 326 services on 102 information systems were implemented, data exchange was carried out 5 and 3 million times. As a result, the bureaucracy was reduced: more than KGS 30 million were saved only on the issue of certificates. The project on implementation of Tunduk system was marked as one of the most successful projects among 130 countries of the world. More than KGS 5 and 2 billion worth of taxes have been received from the telecom and communications industry," she said.
She also added Kyrgyzstan has a unique high-tech park, which includes 70 residents, where more than 750 employees work. "According to the results of the first half of 2019, the income of HTP residents amounted to almost KGS 450 million, 85% of which came to the export results. Our programmers work in the U.S., Ireland, Kazakhstan, Russia, and other countries," she concluded.
