Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Vice Prime Minister Jenish Razakov met with Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Strachko, the press service of the government said.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of holding the upcoming 9th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Belarusian joint intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.
The Vice Prime Minister noted the key role of the intergovernmental commission aimed at developing mutually beneficial economic relations and increasing trade between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, and also expressed confidence that the increase in the chairmanship status to the vice prime ministers of the republics will positively affect the effectiveness of the intergovernmental body. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of thorough preparation of the parties for the upcoming meeting, filling its content with concrete proposals for organizing industrial cooperation and cooperation in the field of production development.
Strachko, in turn, voiced the readiness of the Belarusian side to accept the Kyrgyz delegation. He outlined the dates acceptable for the Belarusian side to hold the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, and also informed about the preparations for the event. He also noted the need to fill its agenda and draft protocol with initiatives to launch joint projects in industry, transport and engineering.
The sides also discussed issues of Kyrgyz-Belarusian relations across the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation. The importance of the interaction of countries in the framework of integration associations and international organizations was noted.
In addition, during the meeting, the sides discussed the need to intensify the cultural dialogue between the countries and plans for holding in the future the Days of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Belarus and the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in the Kyrgyz Republic.
