Official opening ceremony of Osh-Andijan route at Dostuk checkpoint in Osh

Osh, Sept.25, 2019. /Kabar/. The official opening ceremony of the Osh-Andijan route took place at the Dostuk checkpoint near Osh today, Sept.25, the press service of the Osh Oblast state administration reported.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Osh and Andijan Oblasts state administration, media representatives and local residents.
This route is opened in connection with the agreement, reached by the two countries' governments. Earlier, the opening of other routes between the cities of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was also discussed at the government level.
Residents throughout Kyrgyzstan will now be able to get to Andijan by minibus directly from Osh. Passengers of this route are provided with a simplified procedure at the border crossing point.
Runs from Osh to Andijan by minibus will be operated from Osh bus station every 20 minutes.
The same runs will operate from Uzbekistan's Andijan to Osh.
