AKIPRESS.COM - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev speaking at the sustainable development forum under the aegis of the UN General Assembly proposed to create a sustainable development center for Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, Akorda reported.
The head of state noted that the goals of the sustainable development until 2030 provided a clear a road map on achievement of the best future, where everyone receives an equal opportunity to gain a benefit from social, technological and economic progress.
Taking into consideration the affect of the sustainable development goals on world processes, Tokayev express the opinion about inadmissibility of overvalue of successes from implementation of the sustainable developing goals only in certain categories of countries.
The President underlined that Kazakhstan shares a common concern over falling of the international community from achievements of the sustainable development goals.
He stressed the need to take firm measures for gaining certain results. As one of the effective measures, Tokayev outlined creation of a sustainable development center for Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, which could accelerate the implementation of sustainable development goals not only in Kazakhstan, but also in other Central Asian countries and Afghanistan.
