AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian reigning world champion Orkhon Purevdorj was stripped of the gold medal she won in the women's 62 kg event at the Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang after she tested positive for doping.
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) confirmed Purevdorj had been disqualified as a result of the failed doping test.
Kyrgyzstan's Aisuluu Tynybekova who won a silver has officially become the gold winner.
Japan's Risako Kawai became a silver medalist, while Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Lua and North Korean Rim Jong-sim became bronze medalists.
