Bishkek, Sept.27, 2019. /Kabar/. On Sept. 25-26 Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Justice Marat Dzhamankulov took part in the International Forum on Legal Services in SCO area, held in Shanghai, China, the press service of the Justice Ministry reported.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China in order to further strengthen cooperation among SCO member states, observer states and dialogue partners, as well as to exchange experience in the field of legal services.
During the Forum Dzhamankulov made a report on "Development of legal services by the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic". The report included information on the work, carried out by the Ministry of Justice on the conversion of public services into electronic format and implementation of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On State Guaranteed Legal Aid".
A meeting of justice ministers of China, Kyrgyzstan and Russia also took place on the margins of the Forum, during which issues of further cooperation within the framework of the Meeting of Ministers of Justice of the SCO member states were discussed.
Note that, the event was attended by Ministers of Justice of the SCO member states, observer countries and dialogue partners, employees of the legal services sector, scientists and experts, as well as representatives of business circles.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance, the creation of which was announced on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai, China by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The SCO is primarily centered on its member nations' Central Asian security-related concerns, often describing the main threats it confronts as being terrorism, separatism and extremism. However evidence is growing that its activities in the area of social development of its member states is increasing fast.
