Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reacts to statement by Russian TV presenter Andrei Malakhov

Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2019. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reacted to the statement of Russian TV presenter Andrei Malakhov, the press service of the Ministry said.
Adviser-envoy of the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on Sept. 26, 2019.
During the meeting, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic noted the situation around the statement of the well-known Russian TV presenter Andrei Malakhov during his television program regarding an road accident involving a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic Islambek Akbarov.
It was noted that during the telecast, the presenter incorrectly spoke out about the situation around citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic Islambek Akbarov, who became a participant in a traffic accident with a fatal outcome of citizen of the Russian Federation Alexander Marugov.
"The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic expressed concern about such statements by journalists in the state media of Russia, taking into account Kyrgyz-Russian allied relations and strategic partnership," the ministry said.
