China to provide $1 billion to Uzbekistan for Safe City Project

AKIPRESS.COM - China will provide $1 billion for introduction of the Safe City system in the regions of Uzbekistan, CA-News reports. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov endorsed the government resolution on September 24, which says the system will be launched in Tashkent by the end of 2020.
Installation and launch of the system throughout the country will be carried out until December 2021.
The government resolution approved the action plan for implementation of the agreements reached between Uzbekistan and China at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission in Beijing in late August 2019. The list includes 54 projects valued at $4.3 billion in total.
