AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Interior of Kazakhstan Erlan Turgumbayev decided to withdraw the requirement to cut hair of those arrested, Informburo reported.
According to the existing rules, the suspects and defendants follow neat appearance, which implies a short haircut of 1.5 cm (except for women), a neatly trimmed mustache, as well as a shaved beard.
The Minister said he decided to cancel the rule for those suspected. The rule will be applied to men after placement to the colonies, he noted.
The decision was taken after former chief doctor of Almaty Kanat Tezekbayev, who was taken into custody, had his hair shaved in the detention center until the court voiced its verdict. Reports say the doctor's wife told that her husband was caused a serious moral damage after this.
