Chui region police chief recovers: Interior Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - Chui region police chief Samat Kurmankulov recovered consciousness, said the Interior Ministry’s medical service chief Nurdin Meterov at the session of State commission investigating Koi-Tash events on Oct 2.
Kurmankulov is talking and is currently undergoing rehabilitation, but has not fully recovered yet, he said.
Kurmankulov received severe brain injuries during the failed attempt to storm the residence of ex-President Almazbek Atambayev on August 7 in Koi-Tash. He underwent two surgeries. On August 12, Kurmankulov was transported to the one of the rehabilitation centers in Moscow.
