Former Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Azimbek Beknazarov urged not to blame members of the interim government for bloodshed in 2010 and other sins. He stated this at a press conference today.
Azimbek Beknazarov complained that as soon as the members of the interim government gathered together after a long break, people began to voice accusations against them.
"I want to ask reporters not to interpret the facts, but to write the story correctly. Who are the members of the interim government? Do not confuse them with revolutionaries. We are accused of the 2010 bloodshed. Was at least one military man killed that day? The interim government is 14 people who took responsibility in a difficult period to direct everything into the legal framework. Then we parted, and we are no longer in power," said Azimbek Beknazarov.
"At the behest of Almazbek Atambayev, we were accused of robbing bank safe deposit boxes. If we took the money, Atambayev would not have appointed Temir Sariev as Prime Minister. Moreover, not a single person complained that we stole his money. There were $ 2 billion in the safe deposit boxes. Ask the authorities that came to power in 2011 where this money is," added Azimbek Beknazarov.
