AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar met with Ambassadors of France and Belarus, the press service of the Prime Minister said.
During meetings with representatives of the diplomatic missions of the two countries, the main aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well as further prospects for strengthening diplomatic relations.
At the meeting with the French Ambassador Philippe Martine, Sklyar noted that today France is one of the top five trading partners of Kazakhstan and is one of the main investors in our economy, and commodity circulation has a positive growth dynamics. Over the past 14 years, the gross inflow of direct investment from France to Kazakhstan has exceeded $15 billion.
"In addition, in December 2019, the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Kazakhstan is planned. In turn, our country pays great attention to this, and therefore the holding of the Kazakhstan-French business forum in Paris on Oct. 8 will deepen bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and France," Sklyar said.
During an official meeting with the Ambassador of Belarus Anatoly Nichkasov, the main milestones of the development of long-standing bilateral relations, pressing issues of cooperation within the EAEU, as well as preparations for the upcoming 15th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation, scheduled for Oct. 8-9, 2019, in Nur Sultan were discussed.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue to maintain a positive vector for the development of good-neighborly relations and make every effort to strengthen them.
