MFA warns Kyrgyzstanis about transportation of medicine banned in UAE

The Foreign Affairs Ministry warns citizens of Kyrgyzstan not to take packages from strangers at airports.
According to the ministry, cases of detention of citizens of Kyrgyzstan by security services and the customs body of the international airport in Dubai for illegal import of medicines prohibited in the United Arab Emirates, in particular "Lyrica" medication, became more frequent.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges Kyrgyz citizens to be vigilant and not to take various parcels at airports from strangers and dubious people to avoid possible arrests and criminal prosecution.
Before going abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends Kyrgyzstanis to carefully familiarize themselves with the customs rules and domestic legislation of the country of entry.
