Bishkek HPP modernization. Detention term of defendants extended

Consideration of the criminal case on modernization of the Heating and Power Plant of Bishkek continues in the Sverdlovsky District Court of Bishkek. The legal process is chaired by a judge Inara Gilyazetdinova.
Lawyers petitioned for a change of the preventive measure for their clients. However, the judge dismissed this request. All defendants were remanded in custody until December 12.
The former prime ministers of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov and Zhantoro Satybaldiev, deputy of the Parliament Osmonbek Artykbaev, top managers of the power sector Salaydin Avazov and Aibek Kaliev are kept in the pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. The ex-finance minister Olga Lavrova is under house arrest.
All of them are charged with abuse of office and corruption.
