U.S. to host 5th Asian World Film Festival

AKIPRESS.COM - The 5th Asian World Film Festival will take place in Calvert City, California, on November 6-14. Among the judges are Meryem Uzerli (Turkey/Germany), Guka Omorova (Kazakhstan), Kiu Ching, Sarah Finn, Jeremy Kagan and others.
The judges will determine the winners in five categories including for the Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress.
The Asian World Film Festival was founded by member of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Sadyk Sher-Niyaz and presents the best films from a wide range of Asian cinema for attraction of attention to the richness of the cinematography of the region, strengthening ties between the Asian and Hollywood movie industries.
The festival includes films from more than 50 countries in Asia: from Turkey to Japan, Russia, India and the Middle East. All films participating in the festival get the opportunity to be screened to members of the Academy of Cinematography, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and other film industry guilds.
