Modern telescopic units will not allow dusty emissions of coal beyond the territory of Bishkek's Heating and Power Plant. Electric Stations OJSC reported.
The company noted: when the heating plant was built, it was located on the outskirts of the city. According to the project, there should not have been residential buildings within a kilometer radius. Over the years, the situation has changed. To reduce the environmental impact of HPP's work, its management purchased equipment that limits coal dusting.
"It reduces coal dust. Almost all of it settles on the territory of the heating plant not polluting the atmosphere. The unit blocks dust emissions, as special sensors are installed there. The measure required large financial costs, but the goals justified the invested funds - dusting was almost completely reduced. The equipment is being debugged now. The dust suppression system will significantly improve the environmental status on the territory of the heating and power plant and beyond," Electric Stations company stressed.
