Road accidents kill more than 500 people in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - 526 people died in road accidents in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of 2019, Chief of the patrol police Azamat Israilov told a Parliament meeting today. The Parliament considered amendments to the law of the Kyrgyz Republic on violations of traffc rules. The draft law implies reduction of size of fines for violations.
MP Dastan Bekeshev (SDPK party) asked whether such measures lead to growth of violations.
"These violations do not lead to fatalities. Fines for driving red light, speeding, drunk driving will remain the same," Israilov noted.
