No single dormitory for orphaned children built in Kyrgyzstan over last 5 years — MP

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament member Mahabat Mavlyanova (Respublika - Ata-Jurt party) said the government of Kyrgyzstan has not built any dormitory for orphaned children over the past 5 years at the session today. "Every year the funds are allocated for social facilities. But everyone forgot about orphaned children," she noted.
According to her, the Child Protection Code says that socialization of orphaned children requires accommodation, where they will be living until they turn 21.
"Unfortunately, I am working as a member of the Parliament for 5 years and during this period no single dormitory was built for orphaned children," she said.
Mavlyanova urged the government to find a land plot in Chui region or Bishkek for construction of a dormitory for orphaned children.
