AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin exchanged information on the economic situation in Kazakhstan and Belarus, the Kazakh Prime Minister's press service reports.
In particular, the sides discussed the agreements and recommendations regarding the implementation of the Protocol of the XIV meeting of the IGC, the implementation of the Action Plan for the Development of Cooperation between the Governments of the two countries for 2019-2020, on trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus and prospects for its expansion, and industrial cooperation and the supply of equipment in agriculture, food industry, healthcare, on interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, science, technology of science and education, space activities, as well as the holding of the XVI meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled for 2020 in Belarus.
Sklyar expressed confidence that the decisions would give an additional impetus to the development of bilateral relations in all areas of Kazakhstan-Belarus cooperation, and also, once again, demonstrate a high level of dialogue intensity between Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Today there are over 340 legal entities, branches and representative offices with Belarusian participation in Kazakhstan. In this case, the task of the IPC is to create comfortable conditions for mutually beneficial and productive cooperation between enterprises and business partners.
Turchin called promising cooperation between Belarusian and Kazakhstani enterprises in the field of industry, agriculture, transport, pharmaceuticals, medicine and IT technologies. In addition, according to Turchin, industrial cooperation remains among the priority areas of cooperation.
He expressed his trust that the joint industrial, scientific, engineering, technical and human potential allows for the implementation of complex projects, including those with a high degree of localization of production.
