10 psychoneurological institutions for adults and children operate in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - There are 10 psychoneurological institutions for adults and children in Kyrgyzstan today, the National Health Promotion Center reported. Director of the Center Sabira Musabayeva during the roundtable discussion on implementation of government's program on mental health protection said that 6 of them are for adults and 4 - for children.
As of January 1, 2019, these institutions are providing services to 1,954 adults and 425 children.
There are also 3 mental health center in the country.
The goal of the program on protection of mental health for 2018-2019 is strengthening mental health, prevention of mental disorders, providing available medical aid and development of the system of providing complex of services on protection of mental health at local level and so on.
The roundtable discussion touched the issues of innovative approaches in rendering services, new methods of financing, rights of patients with mental disorders.
