'Business Ombudsman is a citizen of foreign country, how can he know problems in business sector of Kyrgyzstan? ' MP asks

AKIPRESS.COM - Parliament committee for international affairs and defense is considering the draft law on ratification of the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on mutual promotion and protection of investments signed on April 9, 2018 in Ankara in the first reading.
During discussions, MP Ruslan Kazakbayev cast doubt on awareness of the Business Ombudsman about the problems of local businesses.
"Business Ombudsman is a citizen of foreign country, how can he know the problems in business sector of Kyrgyzstan? It's going to take more time," he said.
Former UK Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Robin Ord-Smith has been earlier named as Business Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev has earlier explained why the foreigner was appointed as the Business Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan: "We want to give a signal to the investors that they can be confident in doing business in Kyrgyzstan and investing in our economy."
