Facial recognition technology launched in public transport in Nur-Sultan

AKIPRESS.COM - One will be able to pay for journey in public transport by looking at a special camera, Tengrinews.kz reports. The Face Pay system was presented at the Astana LRT conference in Nur-Sultan.
"This is a payment with the help of biometrics - face. We created a bot in the Telegram, where you can register your Individual Identification number, make selfie, upload your public transport card and enter the system. Then you give permit for using your data. After these procedures, you can enter the bus and buy a ticket without using telephone or payment card," the founder of the Ipay LLC Almas Aimenov said.
According to him, one should not worry about the security of personal data.
If a person will use this type of payment, a driver sees his/her photo of the passenger on the monitor when entering the transport.
