AKIPRESS.COM - 2 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are illegally held in Moscow police department, Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan Tokon Mamytov said in his letter addressed to Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova.
Two citizens of Kyrgyzstan Akjol Uramchin uulu born in 1993 and Nuriza Jenaliyeva born in 1995 were detained on October 16 at the exit of the Public Service Center in the Novokosino area.
They were brought to the Novokosino police department and have not been released yet, according to the human rights defenders.
"At the same time, they have not been provided the right to attorney, nor have they been provided with an interpreter so far. They were not provided with the case materials and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan was not informed about the detention of Kyrgyz citizens," the letter says.
Mamytov requested Moskalkova to provide assistance to clarify the reasons for detention of Kyrgyzstanis and ensure their rights. "In case of violation of their rights, ensure taking relevant measures to restore their rights and bring the guilty to liability," Mamytov said.
