Kazakhstan to shut down checkpoint on border with Uzbekistan for several months

AKIPRESS.COM - The Yallama checkpoint on border of Kazakhstan and Tashkent region will be closed until 2020, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan reported. The termination of works of the checkpoint is due to reconstruction works held at the checkpoint B. Konisbayeva, which is located on the border of Kazakhstan with Uzbekistan from November 1, 2019. Movement of pedestrians, cars and trucks will be suspended until the middle of 2020, the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan said.
In this regard, the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan notifies the participants of foreign economic activity transporting goods and transport vehicles through the customs border, drivers of cars and pedestrians about termination of the checkpoint.
The Konisbayeva checkpoint of Kazakhstan intersects with the checkpoint Yallama located in Chinaz district of Tashkent region.
