AKIPRESS.COM - Government projects real GDP growth at 4% in 2019, but it's a difficult task, said Emil Toktoshev, Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Parliament, during the parliamentary hearings of the draft state budget for 2020 and forecast for 2021-2022.
He pointed out that Kyrgyzstan's accession to the EAEU did not affect the formation of the state budget at all. Secondly, the situation in the foreign exchange market creates social problems for the population. Thirdly, the country's debt is more than 51% of GDP.
Toktoshev noted that 28.8 billion soms are needed to finance the external and domestic debts.
In 2021, it is necessary to pay off 34.7 billion soms debts and 37 billion soms in 2022.
"The Government of Kyrgyzstan must restructure the external debt of the country," Toktoshev said.
