Turkmenistan, Argentina hold political consultations in Buenos Aires

AKIPRESS.COM - The political consultations between the ministries of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Argentina were held in Buenos Aires on Oct 17, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports. The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy foreign Minister Vepa Hadjiev and Argentine delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gustavo Rudolfo Zlauvinen.
The sides noted the friendly nature of the Turkmen-Argentine relations and discussed in detail the key aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The sides also spoke about the important role of bilateral visits, which contribute to the further development of the partnership. The two states have successfully cooperated within the framework of authoritative international organizations, primarily on the UN platform.
The parties noted the need to continue the exchange of parliamentary delegations to strengthen the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.
The parties emphasized the need for further development of trade and economic relations. In this context, the sides noted the need to identify possible areas and priority areas of cooperation by establishing systematic contact between the business circles of the two countries to expand trade and economic cooperation and increase trade turnover. They also discussed the possibility of developing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, energy, transport and tourism. In addition, the parties discussed the expansion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan was received by Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Fori on Oct 18.
