'Policy of Tokayev is aimed at development of common economic union' – Lukashenko

AKIPRESS.COM - Alexander Lukashenko ahead of his official visit to Kazakhstan gave an interview with the Kazakhstan's state-run TV channel Khabar, Zakon.kz reports.
"You reminded the new President of Kazakhstan. You know that all his policy is aimed at continuation of those processes that were proposed not only between Kazakhstan and Belarus, but also at the development of our common economic union," he said.
"This is a person, who can not just continue, but can increase the existing realities in our relations. Our relations will get better".
The Belarusian President told about the current situation of bilateral relations between the two countries, shared views on future of the cooperation, as well as expansion of the trade turnover.
Lukashenko also touched the issue of development of activities of the Eurasian Economic Union and its geographic expansion.
Then he remembered the main phases of establishing bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus.
The President is confident in a positive development of Belarusian-Kazakh cooperation. He said that the new President will preserve the continuity of the countries ties.
