Zelensky invites Nazarbayev to visit Ukraine

AKIPRESS.COM - The First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev during his trip to Japan met with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, the former President's press service said.
"I keep track of each day of Ukraine. I am not indifferent to your country. And not only because I studied in Ukraine once. Since the first days of independence, I was well-acquainted with all Presidents of your country," the First President said.
During the talks, Nazarbayev expressed concern over events in Ukraine. He underlined the importance of a peaceful regulation of the conflict in south-east of Ukraine.
Zelensky said that Ukraine has always supported Kazakhstan on a wide range of issues. He told about his acquaintance with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in New York at the meeting.
Zelensky also invited Nazarbayev to visit Ukraine.
The sides discussed increasing trade cooperation.
