Nazarbayeva offers Russian side to simplify border crossing procedures

AKIPRESS.COM - Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Dariga Nazarbayeva at the meeting with Chairperson of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matvienko proposed to ease the procedure of the Kazakh-Russian border for citizens of the countries, the Senate said.
According to Nazarbayeva, simplification of the procedure will affect the development of social and economic and cultural exchange and trigger the growth of small and medium businesses in the region.
The Speaker drew attention to the lack of parity in conditions of movement and stay of citizens of the countries on the territory of Kazakhstan and Russia.
The sides discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation, including at the parliamentary level.
In her greeting speech, Nazarbayeva said that the multifaceted cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia was and will remain the most closest.
Matvienko stressed the importance of development of interparliamentary relations between the countries. She proposed to start a joint work on preparation for the World Conference on Inter-religious and Inter-Ethnic Dialogue, which will be held in 2022 in Russia.
