AKIPRESS.COM - A slowdown of inflation is projected this year in Kazakhstan, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Oleg Smolyakov said at the plenary session of the Parliament today. According to the forecast of the bank, inflation will be kept at 5.7-5.8% as a result of 2019.
"In 2020, some slowdown of inflation maintaining the intra-target corridor of 4-6% is expected. In the framework of the regime of inflation tergeting, the National Bank establishes borders and other details on exchange of tenge," Smolyakov said.
He said the exchange rate today is formed under the influence of external and internal factors - the flow of foreign currencies on the territory of the country and a demand and proposals on the internal market.
Some fluctuations can lead to a huge disbalance at exchange market. The exchange market is also dependent from prices for oil, he added.
