AKIPRESS.COM - The Eurasian Economic Union member states in January-August 2019 increased trade with Mongolia by 15% ($1.2 billion), the Eurasian Economic Commission reported. During the 3rd meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between the EEC and Mongolia on October 21, member of the Board (Minister) of the Eurasian Economic Commission from Russia Sergey Glazyev said that the Commission is ready to provide assistance in easing cooperation between the EAEU and Mongolia.
In this regard, the most important task is attraction of businessmen and investors to the work of the working group for establishment of new ties.
The Mongolian side told about the government's measures on diversification of economy, improvement of investment climate and business opportunities.
According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Battsetseg, the priorities of the Mongolian government are agriculture, energy, development of transport infrastructure.
The sides following the meeting agreed to hold the next session in Mongolia in July-August 2020.
