Kazakhstan, Belarus finalize agreement on oil supply

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan and Belarus have approved the text of the agreement on supply of oil and oil products, however, during the visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko the document will not be signed, Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev told journalists on Friday, Vlast.kz reported. "The document will not be signed today, because some interstate procedures are needed first," the Minister said.
Bozumbayev also noted that Kazakhstan is ready to allow the Belarusian partners to directly negotiate with the national oil producing companies.
In terms of the volume of export, according to the Minister, the sides have not yet discussed that.
The Belarusian side may talk to the national oil companies at Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan fields, Bozumbayev added.
