137 village councils in Kyrgyzstan do not have access to Internet: Statistics

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has 484 local governments, including 2 cities of republican significance, 12 towns of regional significance, 17 towns of district significance and 453 village councils. 137 out of 484 village councils are not connected to the Internet, the National statistics Committee reports.
The largest number of village councils is located in the Chui region - 23% and the smallest in the Batken region - about 7%.
17% of the total village councils are under self-sustainment and 83% are subsidized.
