MFA of Kazakhstan urges citizens to refrain from trips to Mexico due to increased border control

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has recommended the citizens to refrain from business and tourist trips to Mexico, Interfax-Kazakhstan said.
The Mexican authorities reinforced control on their borders due to the long-lasting migration crisis.
"The citizens of many countries are not allowed to enter the Mexican territory and are departed back. In this regard, we recommend to refrain from tourist and business trips to Mexico to avoid problems on the Mexican border and failure of the planned trip to this country," spokesman of the MFA Aibek Smadiyarov told at the press conference.
The spokesman noted that the MFA urges citizens to notify in advance the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Mexico about the planned travel. However, entrance through the state border of any country is an internal policy of the country, therefore, the Kazakh Embassy does not guarantee a free entrance to the territory of Mexico, Smadiyarov said.
On October 24, media reported that about 2,000 migrants from southern Mexico are moving to the border of the U.S.
