Kyrgyzstan has 92 tailing dumps - Deputy Emergencies Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has 92 tailing dumps, said the Deputy Emergencies Minister Davletbek Alimbekov at the parliament meeting on Oct 30. According to him, the Emergencies Ministry has 60 objects, including 33 are tailings and 27 water dumps.
"There are over 100 tailing dumps in a country. It seems like we are living in tailing dump," said MP Baktybek Turusbekov and asked to voice the capacity of dangerous tailings.
Alimbekov replied that the capacity of radioactive dumps reached 6 million cubic meters and toxic dumps totaled 5.7 million cubic meters.
