24,000 census takers to be involved in population census 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - Over 24,000 census taker will be involved in the population and housing census campaign in 2020, said the head of population census department of National Statistics Committee Rima Chynybayeva during the open day in statistics committee on Oct 30. "We will employ them for 22 working days with the wages of 7,500 soms. The census takers with phones and with census experience will be invited. There are no age restrictions," she said.
According to Chynybayeva, the census results will show the population density index. "Today, the population density index of Kyrgyzstan is 31 people per 1 square km. The most densely populated region is Chui and the most thinly populated area is Naryn," she added.
