AKIPRESS.COM - The second Naqshbandi Tourism Festival will be held in Uzbekistan from October 31 through November 7.
The event is organized by the World Sufi Center (Malaysia) with support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kualu Lumpur, State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan and Hilal Travel.
The Festival is expected to be attended by over 250 followers of Naqshbandi Sufi tariqat from around the world, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, the UK, New Zealand, China, India, Australia, the USA, South Africa and other countries.
The festival will include pilgrimage tours to such shrines as Hazrat Bahouddin Naqshbandi, Hazrat Abdukholik Gijduvani, Khoja Mahmoud Anjir Fagnavi complexes, the tombs of Khoja Orif Revgari, Said Amir Kulol, Mir Arab Madrasah and Kalyan Mosque in Bukhara, the memorial complexes of Imam al-Bukhari, Khoja Ahrar, Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi memorial complexes, a visit to Shahi Zinda architectural complex, Registan Square and Ulugbek Observatory in Samarkand, as well as Imam Termizi complex in Termez.
The Mausoleum of Saint Bakhouddin Naqshbandi in Bukhara is considered as the Central Asian Mecca. Believers from different Muslim countries come there to ask for the fulfillment of wishes and healing.
Naqshbandi was the spiritual teacher of Amir Temur and made hajj to Mecca 32 times. He taught people to be modest and rejected the luxury. His philosophy was based on the principle: The heart with the God, hands at work.
