Dushanbe hosts Tajik-Russian security consultations

AKIPRESS.COM - Dushanbe hosted the Tajik-Russian security consultations on Oct 30 under co-chairmanship of the Secretary of the Security Council of Tajikistan Mahmadali Vatanzoda and Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev with the participation of representatives of several ministries and agencies of the two countries, Khovar reports.
The consultations focused on bilateral cooperation in fight against terrorism, extremism, organized crimes, drug trafficking.
They also discussed situation in Afghanistan, fight against threats, military and technical cooperation development, as well as cooperation in ensuring cyber security.
The participants agreed to continue coordinating the positions of relevant Tajikistan and Russian authorities on topical security issues within the UN, SCO, CIS and CSTO. The consultations resulted in signing of the protocol.
