Uzbekistan to prohibit production of fuel below Euro-4 since 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the order on environmental protection concept until 2030, which prohibits production of motor fuel below Euro-4 class since January 1, 2020.
Import of motor fuel below Euro-3 class will be prohibited since January 1, 2022. Since January 1, 2023, import of fuel below Euro-4 will be prohibited.
Import of categories M and N vehicles with gas, petroleum and diesel engines that do not meet Euro-4 requirements will be prohibited from January 1, 2022 either.
The Cabinet of Ministers will approve the order of ecological certifications of new vehicles of M and N categories imported to Uzbekistan in terms of their compliance to ecological class requirements.
