Lawmaker wonders why citizens can not privatize apartments received from government of Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Marat Amankulov (SDPK party) at the Parliament session on October 31 raised the issue of citizens, who received apartments from the government. According to him, the government does not resolve the issue of privatization of apartments that were allocated to some vulnerable category of citizens.
"These apartments are considered as a service housing and citizens can not privatize them," the parliamentarian noted.
This category of citizens include teachers, doctors, war veterans, cultural workers, athletes and others.
A group of MPs on July 20, 2019 proposed a draft law on this issue, but the government still ignores it, Amankulov said.
